Table of North American Double Modals and Self-repairs

This table contains links to naturalistic double modals in YouTube videos, three seconds before each utterance. The table, a subset of double modal sequences from the Corpus of North American Spoken English, consists of manually checked instances to which the annotation tags t, for true double modals, or sr, for self-repair, have been applied.

The columns indicate the state/province/territory location for the video, the name of the YouTube channel from which the video transcript was downloaded, the double modal, the word sequence containing the double modal, the annotation tag(s) (fp indicates a false positive, a1 for the first slot, a2 for the second slot, and ab for both slots).
